The current P3 company was founded in 2007 when we first started shooting action images at local basketball tournaments. Asked to shoot a hockey tourney by a regular basketball client, the business quickly took a turn towards this fast paced winter sport. ( We continue to photograph all sports.......... but hockey is our main business ).
Rick, our owner and founder, has won numerous awards for his landscape and sports photography. He has been a photographer for over 45 years and spent his early years in the smelly darkrooms processing B&W as well as color images with Cibachrome, C-41, and E-6 chemistry. His past clients are from all over the midwest, including Kansas City, St Louis, Rockford, IL., Chicago, and Thunder Bay Canada.
Outside of P3, he is a retired a chemical industry manager, having spent more than 45 years in that business. He also spent many years as a successful Minnesota HS football coach.

Chad, who joined P3 in 2018, was first drawn to photography in high school. Along with taking as many photography classes as he could, he studied the technical aspects of of exposure and composition. There he also learned how to process film and create prints in the darkroom. His family even had a makeshift darkroom in a bathroom using an old Agfa black and white enlarger.
Along with a deep understanding photography, he has always been an athlete and continues to play hockey today. Sports and photography collided for Chad when his kids started to live at the gym and dance studio. Chad has also shot weddings, portraits, events, real estate and a variety of sports. Sports photography is really where his passion lies however, as he loves capturing the action and the emotion during the events.
Outside of P3, Chad is a manager for a large engineering company.
Will joined P3 on the real estate side of the business, but has shot hockey tournaments for us from time to time. His photography experience spans 30+ years. He is a key member of the P3 team, providing outstanding quality imaging.
Will is a retired teacher. He loves the outdoors and spending time in the Boundary Waters. His main photography interest however is landscape work.
